Organization Recognition
Through the years, the Division of Charitable Gaming (the "Division") has recognized and honored qualified and permitted charitable gaming organizations in the Commonwealth of Virginia for their outstanding quality of service to both their organization and their community, and their efforts toward enhancing the image of charitable gaming. In addition, the Division also recognizes the outstanding social services provided by these organizations, and their ability to offer services to people and organizations in need – the true purpose of charitable giving. Of course, this goal could not be met without talented and committed people and members who volunteer their services and contribute enormously to their charitable causes.
On June 7, 2005, the Charitable Gaming Board recognized four charitable organizations with the 2005 Jennifer C. Byler Award of Excellence. Each of these organizations exhibited strong leadership and exercised solid fiscal control of its gaming operation. Audits and inspections conducted by the Division of Charitable Gaming found a high level of commitment by each organization in complying with state laws and regulations. Finally, each organization was recognized for the extraordinary services to our community that have been provided through funds raised by charitable gaming. Click on the name of the organization for more information.
